I've lived in Jacksonville for about 25 years now. I've shot at nearly every range in the city. At one point I was shooting twice a week for several years during my lunch hour. Since the first day I shot at OTS, I haven't used a single other indoor range. The facilities are top notch. It's cool in the summer. It's warm in the winter. The fees are very reasonable. The store has a good selection of some of the finest quality firearms for sale, and a decent selection of weapons for rent at, also, very reasonable prices. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable about their products, and professional. Unlike other ranges, their range officers are present, watchful and helpful at all times. I never feel it's unsafe to shoot there...something I can't say about all the other indoor ranges in town. Their training department is top notch as well. The Training Director, Scott Whigham, is a wealth of knowledge about self defense training techniques, to Florida and Federal gun law, to everything you want/need to know about most common (and even not so common) firearms and their accessories. My goto resource for gear, training and firearms locally. I highly recommend you try out this store for you next purchase and the range for you next training day.

This review is about a month late, but like the saying goes, “it’s better late than never”. I can’t say enough about the staff and experience at On Target Sports. They are extremely professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted in a professional and pleasant manner. Oz at the front desk was extremely helpful, informative, and pleasant. I had just purchased a new P365X macro & needed the optics zeroed. OTS Range Safety officer, Ryan was gracious enough to take his time, and zero in my optics. He was never in a rush, and was extremely informative and helpful, giving me a great deal of valuable advice. Truly appreciate his time, professionalism, and patience. I will recommend On Target Sports to all my friends and family.

The facility is easily the nicest indoor range in the area, and the staff are personable and respectful. However, the experience of shooting here feels neurotic and untrusting to the point of being patronizing and invasive. I understand that gun safety is a serious matter, and I get why most ranges inspect your ammo to ensure it’s safe and require guns to stay cased until you’re on the line. But this range goes much further—they require you to hand over your range bag so they can pull out and inspect your guns, themselves. The check-in process feels more like a TSA line than being welcomed to a range. I’ve been to many ranges, and this is the only one that does that. For that reason, I’ll be returning to other local spots before coming back to On Target.

Greats folks here. Lots of knowledge of NFA weapons. Range is digitally controlled and nice and cool. Well ventilated also. Range safety officers there are really watchful (a good thing) and helpful if there are issues. It gets pretty busy but people cycle in and out pretty quickly. There’s a comfy couch and drink machine if you need to wait for anything.

I was planning to buy a gun so I want to see which one was convenience for me but he was rushing me so I decided to rent one , I was asking the black Men in his 40’s very rude and unprofessional I asked him how much I was looking at $. He didn’t have the answer and made me fill up all the paperwork (my personal information) got my debit card and D.license and left me there waiting passing my license to the other employee who gave me different prices. I kept asking how much I was going to spend in total. he allready knew which gun I picked but he won’t say the total, I had to wait until he attended all the customer 4 employees tried to use one computer or register and he said I have to wait until the other guy finishes so he can give me the prices. Unbelievable. I won’t comeback there.

Great first experience at on target today. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. I have avoided indoor ranges for years due to safety concerns. The RSOs here are vigilant, and thankfully not spread too thin. Safest I’ve ever felt at an indoor range. Looking forward to more visits.

Went to this range and it’s extremely small and tight and sounds like they have Zero sound reduction because it was so loud and my head hurt the whole time I was there and rest of the day. Not sure if this place gets robbed or if they just hired new employees that are never around firearms but it feels like some of these people here working are too uptight and on edge too much and scared of guns. I’ve been to basically all of the ranges here in Jacksonville , Tallahassee and St Augustine and this is probably the worst one. Not only is it deafening but the range master was a little rude and apparently I can’t shoot an AR15 from 7 yards. Which doesn’t make sense because I can shoot large caliber pistol ( which is bigger than my AR caliber ) from Shorter than 7 yards but I can’t shoot less than 10 yards with AR. I went here to sight my AR in for qualifying and needed to practice from 15 , 30 , 45 & 75 feet. I was also told I could not carry a firearm from shooting table to back table where my stuff is to let it cool down and had to keep it at the shooting table at all times. Only range that does this which is stupid. I can’t keep rifles on the table ( 1 small rifle takes up the whole table because the table is so small and narrow ) Was told I can not let my rifle sit on back table so it can cool down after I shoot and grab another to shoot. I can not shoot while I have other rifles on the table in front of me. Ammo and a lot of the firearms are priced high here and staff isn’t as knowledgeable as other shops here locally.

I shot a couple of times here and after the excellent experience and help I received, I signed up for a membership. Went today to sight in my guns with new reflex sights and had help from Dylan. Couldn't have asked for more. Great time. Thanks all

I love these guys. They are big on safety. Their air filtration is awesome. No gun smoke in the air choking you and you do t leave smelling like smoke. Best indoor range.

Took the handgun training class here, my instructor was Jonathan! He provided a very detailed but simple class on safety, posture, aim, etc. Highly recommend coming here! There was a lot of grey areas I had involving guns but after learning the components and anatomy of the gun, it made me feel less timid of the gun while maintaining safety.
